Depends on the box in my opinion. It always used to be that square legs were more stable but in recent years round legs have improved a lot and there is now very little to choose between them.

i prefer the square has steve said they are very stable and won't slip. The rounds have got better but it only seems to be the very expensive boxes that you can trust where'as the cheaper square leg systems are all stable in my opinion.

Much prefare round legs espescialy the ones I use, much stronger.Mine I made out of 5/8 small bore ally tube similar to octoplus material, just round instead of hexagon

i say rive round very strong legs no signs of bending or anything i had a square leg box before which i had for the resons said above but the legs gradually bent i only weigh 11 stone
