I like it !
...but Fish Farmer, you better sit down on your creel - they also make fishing baskets out of plastic & aluminum these days... no more wicker !
Reading your posts brings to mind the image of a strict vegetarian who owns his own burger van

Also, 4lb to 2lb ?, would that be trotting for a selective better stamp of fish ? seems heavy for what I'm expecting to be doing.

Any one know if shot sizes have changed over the years ? I bought a Dave Harrell stick floating DVD off ebay last week (does that make me a tad sad ? ), looks to be very early nineties at a guess, but when he's shotting up with no 8's they look the equivalent of todays no 6's - would that be correct or is it more likely just a camera illusion ?

Hi Ian
The old lead shot was in fact smaller than the equal sizes of non-toxic shot at that time!
Nowadays they are probably equal or smaller depending on brand.
Personally i would recommend using Preston Stotz which are the same as shot in weight ie-8=8 9=9.....etc These are easier to put on and take off and seem to tangle less!

Hope this helps
