Default How to catch on the Avon in the Summer

Got a club match on Girling AS club water at Fladbury on the Warwickshire Avon this Saturday.

The Avon switches off in the midday heat, I know it's going to be bad if drawn away from the weir pegs.

Last week I had bits downstrem in the bay, the match was won with 33lb of Chub near the wier

Apart from Bleak, any ideas?

Dam, I was going to ask you ! Got a match booked on your water in a couple of weeks.

I suppose a start point would be what fish are in there at this time of year ?

Forgetting the chub bonanza peg or pegs, are there any roach, perch ?

Are there chub throughout the length to go at ? What are the chances of hooking a barbel if you go all out for them, or are they all up in the faster water too ?
