Id rest the line and cut back on the feed and fish another swim for 20min's.

Could be a Predator, put a spoke in the works or simply the Roach backing off after a bit of a hammering??...
You can only plunder a swim for so long...
Could aslo be that the fish have 'moved-up' & are intercepting the bait, just below the surface??...

That's the intriguing thing with roach , they just go out , up and just disappear . The great roach catchers like John Dean , Allerton etc were always moving shot and depth constantly , even when catching , to try and get perfect presentation if that's at all possible
