Default James Maude Linden Ac @ Portland Waters Fisheries (4 islands)

June the 6th it was more like November the 6th . It was very wet early in the morning, but after a hearty breakfast the clouds dispersed and it had stopped raining. The wind was still quite strong at times with a chill factor to it. The pegs placed in the draw bag and some of the unfancied pegs were left out, the fishery peg markers had been moved around the lake so this was no reflection on last years results and peg numbers. The red hot favourite was Kevin Brown coming of the back of three wins in a row, the favoured pegs between the islands was were you needed to be, a small chuck with a tiny feeder if they were there and you could be in. Well this could not have been more correct with peg 23 on the inner island had the island gap to chuck to, first cast and the tip shot round this was to set the pattern for the day with the peg producing steadily, albeit small Carp with the odd larger one around the 3lb mark, small method feeder fished with a small tail and hair rigged corn was enough to keep the rest of the field at bay, strong winds made the pole very hard to present but 21 stallwarts battled the ellements to produce a fairly even contest in the end.
The results are as follows:

Dave Lilliman peg 23 35lb-8oz
Terry Wiggins peg 3 29lb-13oz
Dave Sewell peg 13 27lb-5oz
Wayne Jerram peg 18 27lb-3oz
Ashley skeldon peg 10 26lb-12oz
Kevin Brown peg 27 24lb-1oz
Richard Brown peg 5 23lb-10oz
Pete Lambert peg 21 23lb-8oz
Shaun Green peg 12 20lb-11oz
John Evans peg 8 20lb-5oz
Pete Jackson peg 20 18lb-10oz
Billy Harrison peg 24 15lb-1oz
Alan Cox peg 22 11lb-7oz
Lenny Burton peg 7 9lb-11oz
Brian Cox peg 22 8lb-7oz
Ian Carr peg 17 8lb-2oz
Nick Heath peg 6 6lb-11oz
Terry Cheeseman peg 25 5lb-12oz
Dean Collingham peg 30 4lb-4oz
Paul Skeldon peg 15 3lb-7oz
Lawrence Butcher peg 19 1lb-4oz

So Mr Kevin Brown has been knocked of his top slot at last well done Dave Lilliman, has the bubble burst watch this space.

All Anglers must weigh in to gain league points.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Next Match 13th June Wetlands.

Sean I'm sure the club would serve you well mate, you really dont need more under your belt, the best way to gain the experience is mixing with like minded anglers mate, and picking any tips up you can we were all in the same boat when we started out. We are always learning Sean. We will be short this week if you fancy a knock up mate, just youre pegging money to pay.
