Default goodiford mill

Goodiford Mill

This was our second silvers only match in as many weeks. The weather was warm and breezy with occasional rumbles of thunder and lightning in the near distance that thankfully just missed us.

Permanent pegs 1 to 22

Winner on the day was Martin Tyler on peg 8. Martin fished at 6 to 8mt with pellet for a good mixed bag and weighed 38.2lb. Martin had several decent sized skimmers to 1.5lb in his net along with tench and crucians. Second was Paul Gay on Peg 3. Paul fished 3-4 mts, using mainly pellet and caster Paul weighed in 32.5lb. Third was Mr consistent Steve Hart with 29lb of small roach and rudd fished at 3mts with maggot. Fourth was mumbling Gaz Ryland fishing end peg on the day. Gaz when not moaning about his draw put together a good bag of small fish for 25.6lb. Pipping our prolific pensioner into 5th by 1oz!!!

20 fished and all but 2 anglers had over 20lb, however this week many of us had problems with carp coming on to the short pole line. I had 7 carp up to 5lb and landed them all with no problems on doubled up no4 Middy elastic!!
