Default Girling AS - 3/10 - Fladbury 20/6/09

Girling AS 3rd aggregate match was on club water at Fladbury on the Warwichshire Avon.

An influx of members caused us problems as we had 17 fishing 26 pegs. Normally we would spread out every other peg where possible. We all wanted to be upstream near to the weir in the streamy water & this proved the right choice.

1st - Peter Whittingham - P25 - 33lb of Chub
2nd - Alan Hook - P21 - 9lb 3oz - One Barble
3rd - Brian Barnes - P19 - 6-11-0 - Mixed
4th - Richard Kings - P18 - 5-3-0 - Some good dace
I was in the bay catching bits

Winner was upstream peg 25 (stick float) where the flow from the wier hits the bank, it's sometimes like a washing machine & getting your bait down can be a problem but full of fish.

Second had Barbel on hair rigged halibut pellet & lost a couple bigger

Not too late to join at £16.00/ yr - you will win that back in one of the 19 matches.
You can book the stretch (26 pegs) for £40.00 - less than £2.00/ peg
Call - 07730671359
Cheers - Frank

Sorry mate - put it down to old age - or too much beer.
