A large turnout of 28 anglers meant that the fishing was very hard for
most with the tree end of M2 providing most of the fish. In fact in form
peg 43 produced the winner, Bob Fuller, and peg 73 opposite was third.

1st Bob Fuller, Viscount Tackle, switching between the feeder and the pole
caught mostly carp on corn and maggot from peg 43 with 61lb 4oz 2nd Bob
Wessels, Dynamite Baits, fishing corn on the long pole from peg 70 weighed
in 34lb 2oz 3rd Darren Sparrow, Viscount Tackle, fishing at 8 metres with
paste had all of his fish in the last 2 hours from peg 73 for 28lb 4oz 4th
John Dulieu, Viscount Tackle, fished the pole long with pellet from peg 72
with 21lb 14oz 5th Alex Reynolds, Browning Wickford, fishing at 17.5
metres all day on the pole from peg 68 with 20lb 10oz 6th Peter Binks,
Walton on Naze, caught most of his fish in the last hour on corn from peg
49 and weighed 15lb 4oz
