Congrats to Les he fished a good match pellet wag at all depths, i had a good view of his rigs etc has i was on the next peg. In my defense for only weighing 61lb, even though we were on the next pegs we were actually slightly facing away from each other so i couldn't get at his fish.

The section wasn't a bad one grant albert, tom pickering, steve ringer, other sponsered anglers, oneabung senior and me. Sufise to say i had a battering of the next peg but not from all the super stars well except steve ringer 80lb odd.

Anyway the day wasn't wasted i havn't fished the pellet wag before and learned a lot from some good anglers.

I didn't get chance to say hello simon because your old fella left early and i didn't see you after the match.

I was on Colton next to Nathan Watson, Jim who ended up third was the other side of Nathan with a blank peg to his left... when I packed up I had 7 carp and one double for about 40lb odd, Nathan had 10 at that point and Jim had over 20 and just moved onto his third net.

Anyway for those of you who want to see how not to land a fish can watch me landing one on tight lines after the camerman decided to watch me try and scoop one and miss it! Lucky it went in second go.

I was on the Match Lake, peg 13 and all the fish were up the other end of the lake. I had 7 fish (I think, may have been 6, too many to count for a poor retired accountant!) for 39lb 2oz. Well organised match and thanks to Sarah, the NFA, Sky and Matchroom for the opportunity to fish it!
