Default Results for Adroit AC at Moorlands Farm Bank Pool 27/04/08

Weather Conditions :- Sunny spells and showers

Number Fished :- 16

Results:-

The day started with the usual friendly welcome (not) from the net dip marshall. That ordeal over with the 15 members that turned up were treated to free breakfast courtesy of club funds.
The match was fished in a moderate breeze and fluctuated between bright sunshine and showers. The match was slow to get going but eventually Mark Causer(Markc) found shallow feeding fish with meat to end the day top rod with 57-10-00. Well done Mark.

1st Mark Causer(Markc) 57-10-00 peg 14
2nd Roy Ravenhill (Royst) 40-14-00 peg 12
3rd Ron Butler 40-06-00 peg 8
4th Darran Mills (Redfin) 33-06-00 peg 26
5th Mitch Tayles 31-12-00
6th Gareth Dace 19-03-00

Additional Info :-

Mark also won the Bonus peg money £150!

Added by :- Royst

Well done Mark.

I was also impressed with Roysty, from where I was it looked as if he was fishing 16m with a steep bank behind him!
Well done guys.

I could see you catching Darran, you did well considering the wind was blowing away from you.

Thanks for the plaudits guys, nice to get back on the winning trail, I'd almost forgotten what it's like to win
Didn't realise I was on a bonus peg until Roysty mentioned it with about 15 minutes to go.

I didn't have a bite for 1 hour 20 mins, then I had the first of 14 carp and a solitary bream. All taken fishing mainly at 13m, at depths between 2 and 3 feet. Bait was 6mm cubed luncheon meat, although I did have one on banded pellet. Best fish was about 6lb, Roysty had a better stamp than I did having 8 carp for his weight.
My 5 pint bait limit was made up of 1 pint of 6mm meat, 2 pints corn and 2 pints of Moorlands feed pellets
I ran out of pellets and meat with 15 mins to go and had to make do with a few grains of corn I had left.
Caught in 2 relatively short spells when it stopped raining. The fish seemed to be responding to the splash of the feed, but they couldn't tell when I was feeding when it was raining
Never had a sign of fish in the margins or on the deck at 9m, the wag line was also unproductive, but to be fair it wasn't much further out than my 13m pole line.
