It was generally hard for the anglers who fished today. After complaining about gale force cold Easterly and Nor Easterly winds today it was like a mirror with no wind at all. Easy to fish in but not good for the fishing. As usual some anglers found the method and the feed that the fish wanted but the curse of the golden peg was particularly cruel today. Just one ounce separated the top two and the angler who missed out was sitting on
a golden peg. Both anglers lost a few carp but from what he said Darren Clarke on the Golden Peg lost the most. The results:

1st Aaron Coleman, Gipping Valley AC, fished a long pole (16metres) right into the corner on peg 58 with corn on the hook and weighed 37lb 14oz
2nd Darren Clarke, Dynamite Baits, fished at 17.5 metres from peg 73 to the bank on his left, again with corn on the hook and weighed 37lb 13oz
3rd Steve Daniels from Braintree fished a pellet waggler from peg 44 and
weighed 27lb 15oz
4th Graham Howe, Viscount Tackle, fished a long pole with pellet on the
bottom from peg 63 and weighed 24lb 1oz
5th Colin Smith, Nisa Waveney, peg 43, fished a long pole down the margin to his right and weighed 23lb 4oz
6th Steve Scopes, Viscount Tackle, peg 52 fished a long pole and weighed 15lb 3oz
