Rob (the gob) enjoys his first win of the year on yet another wet and windy summer's day...

Rob Wright, Oakwood, peg 11, 100-8-0
Rob has been in attendance at the lake for the past few weeks and finally does well on the draw and bags a ton of Lake John skimmers and bream along with three bonus carp and the method of the moment is dropping the feeder on the pole line at about 13m, Rob hair rigged an 11mm pellet and used fish meal ground bait in the feeder, and at the mid way mark there were plenty of fish to be had.

Paul Reddy, Simpsons of Turnford, peg 13, 81-0-0
Down one place from last week and it was his under arm feeder cast to the pole line that produced yet again for Mr Reddy, two carp were landed and added the mandatory 10lb per carp to the total of skimmers and bream,

Graham Cook, Lake John, peg 34, 75-12-0
Feeder again done the damage as the wind made pole conditions near impossible for nearly everyone on the lake, at times the wind was that strong the branches were breaking off the tree's

Additional Info :-

Just a note on the Carp situation at the Lake

All carp over 10LB have to be retrurned to the lake immediately, to save all the hassle of having scalesman running the bank and skylining people, and of course the welfare of the fish, anything over 10LB is verified by the anglers each side and goes on the board as 10LB and is returned. borderline fish are put in the net at the disrection of the anglers each side.

It sounds harsh as in the past a carp of 39 pound was caught and yesterday I had one well over 25 but it makes for a fast fair match. and the system works well.
