Default Dog Lane Goes Over The Ton

Dog Lane Fishery
Napton
Warwickshire

Match Results 16th August

Middle Pool

The Ton's Been Done at Dog Lane!

1st Josh Whitehead (Dog Lane Fishery) Peg 19 114lb 14oz Carp/Pole/Paste

2nd Pete Palmer (Dog Lane Fishery) Peg 22 86lb 6oz Carp/Rocket Feeder

3rd Dave Walker (Northampton) Peg 52 70lb 11oz Carp/Pole/Paste

4th Derek Cullip (Banbury) Peg 40 61lb 6oz Carp/Pole/Corn

The Middle Lake at Dog Lane was the place to be this week as pleasure anglers had been
reporting regular 50lb plus sessions. It was no surprise then, to those in the know, that
the 100lb barrier was going to be broken and it was.

Fishing from Peg 19 on the far bank Josh Whitehead (Doglane) opted to turn his back to
the wind and fish his margin swim with paste on the hook. Feeding every put in resulted
in fish between 1lb and 6lb for the duration of the match and resulted in his match
winning net of 114lb 14oz.

Fellow Doglane regular Pete Palmer on peg 22 went against popular opinion that carp don't
feed shallow in choppy conditions and fished the Rocket Feeder at 40yards and finally put
86lb 6oz of carp mainly 1lb to 4lb on the scales for second place.

Third was Dave Walker from Northampton who drew fancied peg 52, and fished paste at the
bottom of the slope. Dave recorded 70lb 11oz of carp on the score sheet.

Back up weights started at 61lb down to 28lb with no dry nets.

The fishery as a whole is on form with the other two lakes reporting double figure and
mid twenties carp falling to boillies and corn-strings. One carp angler caught the specci
lakes catfish on a mint flavoured boillie at 18lb. Silver fishing is also fast and
furious if you get your feeding right with keepnets allowed for silvers only.

NEXT WEEKS MATCH will be held on the middle pool, two £50 Golden Pegs are up for grabs
too. The draw will take place at the Kings Head Pub at 9am. Breakfasts are available from
8am. To Book on please contact Josh Whitehead 07842 812247.
