Hi John, just back from holiday at Bewdley today and thanks for the advice. Was a bit lazy on the walks (I don't know how you guys get up to those early numbers, I wasn't even going to attempt it with a trolley!) I don't know how quickly the pegs recover but I may have cost you a win this week as I opted for peg 69 on Tuesday and had 8 Barbel between 3-6lb and a couple of 2lb Chub. I also had a couple of hours on the stick down the inside and had around 6lb of Roach. I fed 1/2 gallon of hemp and 1 1/2 kilo of pellet into the peg. Sorry mate!!

Fished the same peg Thursday and it had coloured right up and rose about a foot during the day. Could only fish at about 3 rod lengths out but had 5 Barbel and a very small chub. The Barbel were bigger though with two fish near 8lb each.

Didn't fish today as the river had risen about 6 foot overnight. Had planned to fish from the platform on peg 72 but you could only just see the top of the rails out of the water. That big piece of tree (I assume it was you who propped it up against the bank, as it was in the water when I fished 69 on Tuesday) was half under water this morning. It was still chucking down with rain so I opted for the early bath option and have spent the last few hours at home trying to clean up a week's worth of sodden kit. Verdict on Bewdley : great venue, silly walks but I'll definately return. Thanks for your advice and sorry if I returned the favour by spoiling your chances on Wednesday. Sods law!!
