Default TA Fur and Feather Barston Match Pool

With 19 anglers ( nutters ) turning out for this match on a wet and windy day, and following an heavy overnight frost the fishing was allways going to be difficult, and so it proved to be, but with no dry nets it was maybe a case of being on a few carp or not, Matt6900 seemed to ok as he was soon reporting a fish of around 2lb in the net. The banter around pegs 10 to 12 looked as though that was not the area to be, which had fish topping on Saturday in the sunshine when I did a quick recce.

Result

1 Matt6900 27lb 14oz
2 Fred 27lb 7oz
3 Oneabung 15lb 13oz
4 Webbo1 13lb 2oz 8dr

Oops so sorry Peter hope the others aint spotted my deliberate mistake you have been upgraded good job I did not do it last night it would have been all over the place.
We used to have an award for the bottom placed angler I think we should reintroduce it.
Suggestions for when and where we should have our next match are most welcome, but given the distance some lads are prepared to travel it would be nice if there was an onsite cafe, so they can grab a brekky rather than have to stop enroute.

Despite the filthy weather conditions, it was nice to put name to faces, have some frendly banter and catch a few fish.

Thanks to BrianG and others who made the day possible.

Pleased to hear you all got hope safely and look foward to our next meeting.

Was a grueler for sure. I fished punch all match over liqqy for a few eyes & 3 small carp. If i conditions were better the stickups on the island would have produced more than the 1 carp i managed between gusts of wind.

Had a nightmare drive home stuck stationery on M6 @ Stoke due to an accident for 2hrs.

Nice to meet some new faces & catch up with the usual rabble. ( Eric that muzzy is really weird fella! )
