Hi Roy, when Brian fished the other week, he coped using black hydro. Had to take his time with the bigger fish (15lbs), but landed them OK.

Thanks Roy. I'll be filming at Stafford Moor during the day on Saturday and there's no reception there, and I'm out Sunday evening. Call me either Saturday evening or Sunday during the day.

    Hi,
Acorn is shaped like a dogs bone. The carp are supposed to go to about 6lb but there seems to be bigger as on some of our matches we have hooked fish and they have gone through 2 or 3 swims and come off the hook.It is a normal match with 2 keepnets.I would expect weights to be high....probably 70lb or more,There are silvers in here but they are not too big except for the 3to4lb perch which seem to love pellets.Hope this helps
    Cheers

    Roy,
many thanks for your kind comments re the Paste article, this was actually written a few years back, however what was said back then still stands today, we all still use the maver paste floats when fishing long mainly in the 0.5 size, however when fishing in the margins I now use paste floats that I make, only because I was having too much trouble with the maver margin floats, however the paste floats I make are just a copy of the middy margin paste floats, normally when we have a very warm summer paste works really well, so this year it should be a very good tactic on commercials.

Glad you enjoyed the article Best regards Fred
