Hey im fishing the Cudmores Arena match aswell. Doing it to try get more experience and fish against higher level anglers. Never fished the lake. But method and pole is the main line of attack. Heard its about 6ft with holes everywhere.

    Hi, thanks for your message.
Can I suggest that you email the fish farm owner Helen Taylor to register your interest. We don't currently have any vacancies, but will hopefully be looking for staff in the not too distant future with a view to multi-tasking staff within the fish farm and the coarse fishery business.

I have to tell you, oppurtunities are scarce and there are many fisheries management and aquaculture students hoping to do what you also dream of. The salary you suggest is fairly normal for a starter wage, depending on age & qualifications etc.

Fish Farm workers generally need to live on site or very close to answer emergency alarm calls, so the multi-tasking job I would anticipate here may suit someone in your situation where you have to travel in.

Have you approached any colleges to enquire about part -time courses? Not sure if they exist, but worth a try.

Anyway, let Helen have your details and you will be considered for interview in the event of a vacancy coming up. Feel free to mention our conversation here.

    Good luck
    Phil.
