I have been to the black boy today and had a stroll along the canal towards bakers lane ( is this the stretch you have with monkspath angling)

Sorry to say it has diesel in it .... from the car park to about halfway to bakers lane.....you can see the slick and smell the stuff - I was thinking of giving it a go for the zeds but don't think i will now.....prob all gone...

I have called british waterways to report it , they said they will look into it....

Let me know how it gets on please..... nice patch for the pike and zeds....it will be a shame if it kills the stretch....not just for the preds but the match fishing....

hi we just chatted i've got an old maver pole seat box round legs and platform the box has been well used i've hd it for about 8 years would be looking around the £60 ish for it i'm in walsall ifit helps

Hi Jim , not a pike man myself so cant really help you there, but there are a few in the canal around the Knowle area along with a lot of zander, i bet there are a few pike in Earlswood Lakes both the Yachter and the old private pool at the top end of the complex not sure if its day ticket though on the old private bit, Kingsbury water parks used to have a few in some of the pools, you can also bet that the parks pools around brum will have them in as well.
