    Hi JIm
It was a pleasure session at snitterfield and it fished badly after temperature drop it also hammered it down while i was there.
I think you are talking about jubilee pools horse shoe lake. I have fished this quite a few times and it holds some big carp, plus loads of skimmers . There is a good head of roach but i would fish the cage feeder for the skimmers or the method as big fish will win the match. Most of the pegs are quite deep close in with a lot of weed so another reason to go for the feeder approach.
The biggest fish i had out of here is an 18lb mirror in the margin, the fish can come close in sometimes and i had this one on freelined slug of all things.
Hope this was some help and good luck again.

    Hi jim
Snitterfield is a great venue, with not to many carp, so a silver fish approach is your best bet. Fish 3 lines 8 metres with 4 orange sized fishmeal groundbait balls, laced with a few micro pellets ,leave to settle for an hour to hour and a half . Meanwhile where the water line darkens feed a small ball of dampned micro pellets and leave. Now at 3 sections of pole feed 6 red maggots by hand for the roach, keep feeding every 30 secs and the quality Roach should arrive, there are some nice hybrids and they soon add up. Dont forget to fish your groundbait line, but do not feed over the top as this seems to spook the bream , fish soft pellet for these. On the close line feed either maggot or soft pellet, for the quality crucians which go 2lb, use size 20s and 1.7lb hooklength for these and the roach ,16 hook 3lb hooklength for bream line. I hope this helps and check my blogs for pictures and info.

I hope it does not rain the night before as this seems to make the venue difficuilt , its a run of for rain water from a local airfield.
May be we should organise a day there in the future when i finish my winter league.
