broke my p.b today with a beauty - Talk Angling fishing chat and tackle advice

went for an hours fishing today on the river tees

took my fly rod some spinners and spoons and a flask of tea

some guy on the opposite bank got into a double figure pike after only 5 mins of spinning so i asked him what he was using a spoon he replied

so i got a spoon on 20 mins later about 5 ft from the bank i though nightmare iv caught a snag pretty common in the tees, anyway seconds later the rod comes to life and off goes the line about 20 yards screams off the line and im thinking sh1t iv only got 6lb line on anyway the fish stops running and i can feel iv got a monster on im thinkin 20lb plus pike after 5 mins of playing the fish on a light fly rod i get it to the bank its head surfaces and it looks like a decent salmon i finally land it and its a brown trout my biggest by a distance about 2ft long and weighing 7lb a perfect fish thats prob never been caught before a personal best for me and the only downside is i didnt take a camera with me

Well done mate what a day
and about the cam you might want to get a mobil phone with cam
i take mine just in case but i usualy after all the excitment forget i got cam on me phone
