Thumbs down first club match of the season blues.

i fished the first club match today. ok, it wasnt a disaster, i caught a few fish so you know, but its the result that got me. 4th by 1oz! i fished the pole in extremely windy and cold conditions, and had a roach first put in. next put in,a tench of about 3lb. bonus. then, nothing for 2 hours. then a few roach to 4oz. near the end of the match, my neighbour called that he had a "skimmer". weigh in. 1st place 15lb odd, 2nd place 6lb5oz(including my neighbours 6lb skimmer!",3rd place 6lb4oz. 4th place me with 6lb3oz. gutted! i missed the net with 2 roach too, i couldnt feel my hands! oh well, theres always next time.
