Just added the story of my trip to Pathfield Lake at Colemans Cottage yesterday.

Nice read Pete

Shame that fished so below par I would say the winning weight was about 200lb down on normal
I was hoping to get there myself on saturday for the open on wood but things didnt quite work out to plan

But it would seem all the bagging venues fished hard yesterday and I dont like that green scum on Pathfield that looks like an algae bloom which would effect
oxygen levels, where the pslles going all day ?

Paul

Paul, as you say, I'm sure the scum is an algeal bloom, but I didn't see any aerators running, before, during or after the match. It was very reminicent of Rolf's. You needed to dot the float right down and hit every single dip, in fact the positive 'bites' invariably resulted in foul hookers.
Great facilities though and a decent breakfast, I'll definately be back for another crack at it.

Yesterday at Rolf's now added. Not the easiest of days as it's still fishing hard at the moment.

Just added a report on yesterdays session on a secluded little pool, that's tucked away in the Essex countryside.

In all honesty Paul, 12 would be about the maximum, and probably a bit cramped.
9 as we had was comfortable, but as I said it's not really suitable for a match.
I can see myself popping down for a couple of days in the summer with a pair of carp rods though, and just chilling out.
