Welham lake
me and jimbob1 fished welham lake the other day and it was the first time we had done so,great place never thought that there would be a pond with that many big fish in it. By that i mean a golf course!! You jus dont expect it. Anyway we got there jus at first light set up the pod and two carp rods with alarms both on the method one with a tuna wrap boiliee and the other with two pieces of sweetcorn. Then we set up two feeder rods with methods as well i had a halibut boilee on me mate had a tuna paste boilee on his hooklength. Chucked em all out played the waiting game 5 hours had gone by with nowt at all, not a sniff then the new bloke that had jus taken the place over gaz is his name came round gave us some sound advice:move down a couple of pegs you might have more luck sez he:thanks sez us so down we move and not half an hour had gone by when i thought that i had hooked the bottom till it took off and started having me all over the pond. Me mate nashed off to the other peg where we had been to get the speci net and landing net, after about 10 mins of me been pulled all round said pond she was in the office, on the scales round to 15lbs my new p.b.15lbs common thanks to gary who i cant praise enough what a totaly sound guy, we bagged another 4 in the next hour before we had to pack up and head off home, gutted we were leaving but made up with the result defo going back for a 24 hr session.
