You may joke but i fished a match on the trent were it was 6ft up and i could only catch roach behind my staked out keep net and had 1lb 6oz i thought i was going to win when the bloke at the next peg weighed in a soletry eel of 2lb ish to win the match. I never saw him land the fish on the flooded river, it either came out of his flask or pole section.

I have a very small plastic bottle (old fashioned milk bottle shape & it originally had bubblebath in I think, got a spare as well !) that I put coffee & milk in, enough for about 3 cups, then give it a good shake. On the bank it's a drop of that in the cup topped up with the boiling water for perfect freshly made coffee !.... none of that grey stewed coffee for me come midday.
If I don't drink it all I always have enough water left to rinse out the stickiest of my bait tubs.

This time of year I like a nice spiced chai or spicy noodle soup.

I did take tea bags as I prefer it to coffee but once the water loses a degree or two of heat you don't seem to get the flavour coming out of the bag & I don't like weak tea.

Must be posh fishing in Lincs If I see someone fishing with an Irish coffee in one hand & an After Eight mint in the other I'll come & say hello Dave .... You've made me laugh with that image... I'll be picturing you every time I pour a drink now.... brilliant.
