Brilliant my great uncle was there and hetold me stories of it from when i was young.When he got back to the train station he gave all his medals away as he said medals were for heroes and the lads who litteraly put there life on the line were heroes. goes without saying he was one of mine.

im not ashamed to admit im in floods of tears,,,!
words can not describe how eternaly greatful i am to all these brave souls,,,,
with every picture,,the lump in my throat grows,,,,
i didn't think viewing these pictures would affect me so much,,,,,,
my grandad was a part of the D-day landings,,,,
i would sit and listen to him for hours on end,some days,,,content with every word,,!
i now have pictures to partner his words,,
thankyou so much!
