I was fortunate enough to meet John a couple of times last year. The 1st at Keith's Alders match and the 2nd at Neil's Rolf's Match. A really decent chap who was happy to have a chat and a bit of a laugh. I'm sure he will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

My thoughts and condolences go out to all his Family and Friends at this sad time.

Rest in Peace John.

When this news broke last night i can honestly say that I was stunned, on the few occasions that I had the very pleasure of his presence, to be in John's company was to be what seemed a life long friend he was so at ease a true GENTLEMAN. On our first meeting at Barston was like I had known him all my life he had that effect on people.

May he Moderate from above as he watches over his family and freinds.

So sadly missed my condolences to his family.

RIP JOHN (KINGFISHER) POWELL

Truly stunned at this tragic news. I like plenty of others have fished with John on numerous TA matches over the years of which John had always been one of TA's most vociferous supporter's. A gentle man of whom i never once heard bad mouth other's or get upset either on here or in person, a true gentleman who will be sadly missed by all of us.

RIP Johnny Kingfisher. God Bless
