Hello everyone - This is Kingfisher's partner, Chris(tina). I have read all the lovely tributes paid to John on this site and would like to thank everyone for their sympathy, compassion and understanding at this sad time. John would indeed have been pleased. Thank you all!

The family of John (Kingfisher) Powell are very sad to announce his passing away on 17th February, 2008 after a great day's fishing, a good meal and games with his youngest grandaughter. He passed away peacefully at home.

He leaves behind a mother, three daughters, four grandaughters, a grandson and many, many friends.

In time we wish to assemble a book of memories. So if you would like to send any thoughts or messages about Dad, including his notable phrases or stories of his adventures through life we would be thankful to include them all.

We have all been greatly touched by your kind words about Dad.

With thanks and kind regards to you all,

the Powell family

(ps. you can email your messages to: kitty_powell@hotmail.com)
