Had exactly the same as compleat tangler used exactly the same method to clear it. had the agv free edition but still got the Trojan virus off a tropical fish site by way of a porn pop up drove me crazy till a friend of mine cleared it i was lucky no charge he's going to sort me a better virus checker. If you're as big a plank as me you'll need help watched him do it still don't know what he did.

try using mozilla firefox web browser rather than IE, its a lot safer

Did you run Trend Micro, that usually works for me and normally removes problems that others leave behind.

Downloaded windows defender and it seems to have sorted it, it was something to do with live messenger
