Have you dowloaded anything recently, that may be the cause of them.

If you're using I.E. 7 go to tools then make sure your pop up blocker is on, also run your virus/ malware programme to make sure you haven't downloaded adware or bugs etc

You could also go to a site called panicware inc and download a very good free pop up stopper

you may have downloaded a trojan, look in I.E. add ons and also do an anti-virus scan, delete your temporary internet files, go to this site and do an online scan, it can take some time.

Just been watching the news and a few of the internet providers, BT and 3 others have been trialing putting cookies on there users pc that will put pop up adds on the things you have been looking at.

Very naughty if the trials go alright they could roll it out to all there users. Adds popping up all the time, if it happens to AOL i will be changing provider.
