signed it.
think our identity as being English has gone
dont think we can get it back
when the government continues to give in to those whos only mission in life is to destroy that identity.

R.I.P. Being English

Thumbs down

Having read all the messages in this thread it seems we are blaming the politicians, but it is you and I who voted some of these people where they are today, I have just received a £9 increase in my works pension scheme and then they go and tax me an extra £18, so not only do I lose my £9 increase I also lose an extra £9 on top.

Vote wisely

Jeff thats why the goverment are extending retirement age to keep us prats at work to pay the taxes and not draw our hard earnt pensions that we have fully paid into for the last 40yrs to keep the scroungers in pocket.

RiveT, do we really have a say in what goes on I think not no matter who we vote in the will feather there own nests and look after number one.

it is true we probably are to blame but society has gone full circle again since the fifties when we encouraged immigration as the country needed a cheap source of labour to fill the jobs that us British/English thought were beneath us.Once again we find that there is a sub culture throught the country who have never and will never work and just play the system and these scroungers' 'pay' need funding and it is us mugs who lose out.foreign workers are arriving again (along with their own scroungers) to milk the system. If you can imagine some of these immigrants only need to send £10 a week home and their family becomes extremely wealthy in their own countries. This is again a problem for the government as the foreign workers are sending huge amounts of money out of the country instead of it being recycled in our economy. This wasn't anticipated and we can all see the effects now with banks running out of money the economy slowing down etc. I vote religiously but dont anticipate anything changing as all that seems to happen when an uncomfortable issue comes up the government hide behind a 'more imortant' issue like the environment. Smoke and mirrors say I.
