Default Oh the Irony

So today I got a day in the office I would much rather be on site but the office work has to be done.

I decide to make a new batch of Health and Safety signs for one of our sites you know the ones hardhats and boots must be worn and all visitors must report to the site office etc etc

I was doing quite well had a big pile of them all laminated these are double A4 what ever size that is, the door bell rings Im halfway through laminating I have to finish this before getting the door, the bell rings again Im finished

I run for the door stepping on the pile of signs I slipped on the signs threw my arms in the air smacked my right hand on the RSJ beam and land on my backside.

The pain is emmence in my hand, it swelled up instantly and was burning like hell, I couldnt move my thumb at all, I had to try and drive to the walk in centre to get it looked at, great news I have fractured my thumb.

I didnt ever get to the door im guessing the guy heard the swearing and done a runner, he did leave a card and I missed a delivery of pole floats from Harrisons

What a day, Health and safety at work eh!!!!!, yeah right

Thats a fantastic story, bet you have had a bit of a private giggle about it!

No doubt when those floats do turn up they will win you a bit to compensate, its a shame there isnt a video of it you could have been a utube star!

as a health and safety officer for HMP service... we will be sending you a new sign about leaving laminated items on the floor and of course the statutory fine of £5 to be paid to the red ballon appeal will be on your mat (careful you dont slip on it ) within the next few days.. I Thank You
