Default Anglers and conservation.

Hello everyone,

I just thought I'd mention about a cracking little site I came across at Flash Page

What caught my attention is a scheme on its 'Helping SNR' page whereby anglers (sea or coarse) can get rewards for assisting the initiative.

This Stonecat Nature Reserves is offering free sea angling boat trips from anywhere in Britain and willing to fund annual subscriptions to UK specialist angling organisations in exchange for what is a trivial bit of help.

It is brilliant for conservation, as each participating angler is credited for ten trees being donated and he learns exactly where they are planted and by whom. It is easy to see how just a few anglers can be responsible for planting thousands of trees.

My angling partner reckons it's the best angling/conservation project ordinary anglers can participate in that he's seen in years.

If any readers are genuinely interested in nature conservation, this site might be worth a look. It might be ideal for younger anglers and those on low income.
