Default selling tackle on talk angling

just like to give my opinon on selling tackle on the forum.i think if tackle is posted on here for sale it should be a genuine sale to t.a. members.all it is in some cases is a way of advertising the sale on ebay and bumping up the price.

Tackle advertised on TA should maybe have a timescale put on it, say one month. Then if the seller cant pass it on to TA members then EBAY is the way....
I dont like the idea of someone posting an EBAY link to show tackle for sale.

I've sold 2 items recently and I offered them first to forum members, before listing on Ebay!
I know most users visit the site every day so if no response after a few days, Ebay it.
Buyers of both items were delighted with them.

agree with larryt this is how it should work.it the pole for sale ebay item no blah blah blah.just blatant free advertising that benefits ebay and not the forum.if people want to buy of ebay they can search the site

Thanks for bringing this issue to the fore.

The rule is now - items for sale must be offered for sale to forum members 1st, this is not an advertising site where people can just post their ebay items up... if you have not sold an item having offered it to the members after a week then feel free to put it on ebay but please do not post up a link to ebay items.
