A day witha star - Talk Angling fishing chat and tackle advice

In the recent NFA bid for a day with a star promotion I was lucky enough to win the auction for a day with Richard O'Connor.

Well yesterday we met up at Cudmore and I have to say that it was money very well spent. Not only is Richard an angler of the highest calibre, he is also a top guy. He was able to explain many of the bits I've read in the mag's,and to demonstrate them perfectly too, and helped me to a cracking bag of fish. Don't know if anyone else on here took up the chance , be great to hear from them if they did.

Learning wise, I'm a bit of a commercial novice, hence the screen name! But We went through pellet fishing, on the deck and up in the water, margin fishing and finally meat on the bomb, I caught on all of them and ended up with 70lbs plus! He has got to be good to get that out of me!

I understand that the auction was a great success in raising the funds to send the vets and the disabled teams to the world championships this year. good to help, but even better to take my fishing up a couple of notches!
