    Default Open contest Wyrley & Essington Canal

    Hi all were having a open contest in the bloxwich/blakenall area of walsall this Sunday 17th May there are limited places the cost is £7.00 and £1.00 biggest fish if anyone is interested or wants further details please call 07736 388401

    Sorry Flinty26 - not long got up.

    Keep us posted on how you got on.......as well as getting soaked some of us got blew off our section of the Curley Wyrley yesterday

    And I drew a decent peg for a change......typical

    Didn't do to bad today only 6 of us turned up but 27lb won it and second was 21lb and third weighed in 9 and a bit pound between us we had over 75lb of fish out but it was hard, windy and wet.

    We're having another open contest this Wednesday the 27th we're drawing at 3.30pm and fish 4.00pm til 8.30pm its £7.00 plus a £1.00 for the biggest fish anyone is interested drop me a line.

    Only just clocked this...........cant be bad. Presume they were tinca bags or did anyone have any slabs?

    Was a bit of a mixture mine were nearly all slabs biggest weighign in at 5 1/2lb and the winner tooknearly all tench not a bad day considering the weather we were having.

    Nice fish - some bostin bags of fish coming out the Curley Wyrley at the mo despite the weather being all over the place
