no rules on the match lake.....just normal match rules....2 keepnets, barbless hooks etc etc

It is fishing very well at the moment....paste seems to be getting the bigger fish out but when they take your bait they charge towards the other end of the lake at 100mph lol

Its not deep....about a foot on the far and nearside margins bank and 3 to 4 feet down the middle. The lake is shaped like a dogs bone.Meat and paste for the bigger carp, corn over hemp or pellet for the mainstay of your fish.Oh yeah...there are some very big perch in here that love pellets and fight like a carp. There is a specimen lake next to this and it seems that some anglers have been putting the big fish from it into the match lake. They average 3lb to 5 lb but you can expect some lumps but they are not easy to get out....they will tear down the lake at a rate of knots.I would expect weights of 30lb to 40lb to come out with the winner up towards 50lb because it is easy but on the day you don,t know.
