Pasteman firstly no one has take the decision to upset you or any one else for that matter, you would not believe how frustrated Larry Teepot is over the matter, by my reckoning since the match was announced in January there has been over 50 names on the list, ok one accepts there will be the odd drop out or two, however despite one email shot to all members, and two personal messages to those on the list who had not paid the match has ended up with 14 members or friends paying up, believe me it has not been for the want of trying to get this match up and going.
At what stage should the decision to cancel the match have been made bearing in mind that there were some 80 pegs booked, we are lucky if the fishery owner does not ban us thankfully hes not that sort of a guy, and just maybe he could have turned away other bookings in favour of Talk Angling.

Pasteman , you should really be blaming the anglers who jump at putting there names down , only to let the organiser down ....again!! People should not put there name down unless they are 100% commited to fishing the match!! those that are regular offenders on the lists , should never actually go on the list untill they have paid a deposit!! These people are ruining good matches!!

its not hard to understand why so many people have dropped out with the venue fishing so poor, AND FOR THE RECORD MY NAME WASNT DOWN BUT IF WE NEED MONEY FOR CHARITY I WOULD OF PAID NOT TO FISH SO THE WHOLE £25 WENT TO CHARITY !!!!!!

Please lads this is not a thread to debate the rights and wrongs of Barston, the thread raiser asked why the match had been cancelled, he has been answered lets leave the debate about Barston to another thread, whats happened as happened lets move on.
