Default Cob House Fisheries Pairs Open Match Saturday 11 July

Cob House Fisheries, Wichenford, Worcester WR6 6YE
Saturday 111 July 2009


We are trying again to get a pairs match organised for Saturday 11 July, so a little bit more notice this time! The last attempt was cancelled due to people dropping out, so lets see if we can make it happen. Same format as advertised before as follows.....

Laugherne Island and Wyatts Pool will be used for the match, with one partner on each of the pools. We will pay the first 3 or 4 highest combined weights, depending on attendance. We have room therefore, for 22 pairs of anglers.

If you are interested in fishing this match, please pm me with your names and a contact number or call Helen on 01886 888 697/101.

£15 all in including £5 peg fee.
9am draw, fish 10am to 3pm Please attend by 8.30 am if possible

3 pints of pellets for the price of 2 (just £2 for 3 pints of standard feed pellets, £3 for betaine green pellets)

Prizes based on full attendance of 22 pairs
1st £180
2nd £120
3rd £90
4th £50

You need to give more notice if you want more than a few there,most people are booked up month's in advance.

Yes mate, if this is successful and we get the interest..... I'll keep trying things 'til you all come, lol - not all on the same day of course! I may even run a pairs league at some point in time if anglers want it and are able to commit.

Once our canteen building /shop etc is up and running we have many plans for Cob House.

just an idea but why dont you try an organise something for the bank holiday weekend, plenty of notice and could possibly be a two or three day event, let me know what you think and i will be more than happy to help and try and encourage numbers

In wyatts pool there are a lot of smaller carp, but also a lot of fish around the 2 to 5lb mark. In laugherne island, they average around 3 1/2 lb with plenty of 4lb+ fish and a few donkeys!

One of each pair on each pool. On Wyatts, you should be looking at 50lb + to frame and similar on Laugherne - although laugherne has been fishing hard in this hot weather.... loads of fish in there (over 100lb per peg!)
