on saturday 19th july there will be a junior match at packington somers fishery on molands
its a four hour match the draw will be at 9:30 the match will begin at 10:30 till 2:30
The cost will be £5.00 this will include tackle prize for the top six and peg fees. please ring

No replies to this post.How sad.I think this has answered the recent thread on lack of youngsters in the sport.There seems very few out there.My lads going so i hope its a decent turnout for the lads competing and the packington staff who are putting themselves out in order to encourage more youngsters to continue fishing.Good luck tomorrow lads[and maybe lasses].

17 juniors turned up,more than was expected.I dont know the exact results but the winner was on peg 1 and had 15lb+.Second was on peg 21 and he had 14lb+.Third was 8lb+ i think peg 11.Mostly crucian carp were caught,odd tench and small perch.The expected skimmers failed to show,as has happened on a lot of venues this week.[maybe they are spawning late?]Next match is this thursday on little gearies pool,draw at 9.30 am.I believe that all the junior matches will be on a thursday during the school holidays and then reverting back to saturdays when school resumes.If interested then phone the staff at packington and they will give you any info.
