Im going to try this method on a match on sunday, I watched Jon arthur although briefly use it at Heronbrook last friday yeah its crude but it seems accurate and deadly im going to use a float with mine though and fish it like the paste using the feeder to set the float and fish a 6" length of line to the float

I dont think anyone has used it there and its currently not banned although I would lay good money on it that after the match if it works it will be
    Carlsburg Disgorgers
Carlsburg don't make disgorgers but if the did they would be the best Disgorgers in the World.

One word of warning if the fish comes of it flies back at you and could cause serious injury. With the refined method used in the uk i would still be worried about the damage it could cause me or the pole.
yes looks a recipe for disaster pullung out of a carp with loads of laccy out might as well hit your pole with a hammer...

    Cool

Was just thinking! might try adapting a keepnet with some sort of draw string around the top!
in the net i will put a large lump of paste,i will push the keepnet over to the island with my pole, while feeding out the rope attached to the drawstring. on the final whistle i will haul in the keepnet and wait for the weigh in!
Dunno what i am going to do for the 5 hours, but maybe i can take a portable telly with me!
I suppose there will be some killjoy who would object to this Deadly method when i pick the brown envelope up afterwards!

Why must we class this as fishing ? err,,,it catches fish.

I aint used it on my pole though,,,cus i can chuck a feeder within inches of any island or feature,,,,,its called a line clip
well done i agree line clip works for me

i've used this method in cyprus too, but i used it mainly in deeper water where there were lots of drop offs. I tried it a couple of times in this country and couldn't make it work. Even in cyprus i used a method feeder on a running line. A simple bead over a swivel is fine as a stop and hooklength connector. I started out using a very small float at the tip of the pole as an indicator, but once they're having it you really don't need to. I did find that once the elastic had been pulled a few times, the bit hanging out the end made a great swing tip.

IT's an ugly method, but can be deadly. Plus, no different than fishing a feeder IMO.....just way more accurate.
