Just putting the feelers out,if i offered a free days pleasure fishing on Olton Mere(Birmingham)to between 15/20 anglers on a Saturday would you be interested.its got to the state where virtually all the members(me included)are specimen anglers.we know there are a few big carp and pike and if you drop on them the bream average 5lb,i believe the roach and perch have been decimated by the black death,i am wondering if this might give us an idea of the state of play(without the cost of a survey),all baits and methods(barbless is the only main rule)and keepnets for fish under 2lb.the club rules that matches are not allowed under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES(SORRY GUYS).if i get enough response i will(with club approval) arrange a day and date.this is not a plea for new members,as the fees are high to say the least and there is a STRICT ban on match fishing,but if you fancy giving it a try please respond.Regards Peter.
