My ideal peg would be at the bottom of the garden ! - long back garden backing down to a slow paced, medium sized river with a tree that shaded me from the sun at it's hottest. Wouldn't care what I caught & wouldn't even need a flask, I could have fresh tea at the click of my fingers
yawwwn .... what day is it... think I've been day dreaming again

P.s. obviously my stretch of river would not be prone to flooding

sound very similar to my uncles back garden and it doesn't flood as the graden is quite long plus the river is about 16 meters across 5 foot deep and stuffed with chub.... its awesome

A quiet spot on the banks of Lough Erne ..... oh and there happens to be a boat moored up in the reeds about 30 yards away with several page 3 girls sunbathing!

lough erne sounds good to me simon, but i am not sure about the page three girls being 30 yards away, whats that roughly 10 metres ? i would like to be able to get at them with my margin pole.

My ideal swims do exist just cannot afforded it
River Trent at Fiskerton there is a Log cabin right next to the river on a long bend has a platform at waters edge and ad is 10yrds away from a cuppa and bacon butty
The next one is a Stamford Bridge in North Yorks ( not where all the over paid puffters play kiss me if you can hehehe) a caravan park right on the river Derwent some the vans have pegs cut out on the main river and on the other side is a cut off to a lock for the boats that is full of big chub and bream and everyone of the vans has a cut out peg and all of the vans are within about 100yards of a pub

Plenty of open wate so I can chuck my waggler as far as I want, no trees to get caught up on when I cast, a nice grass bank to ship my 16m pole back on, without breaking down twice and a nice flat peg to sit on without too many reeds or anything to get in the way when playing fish to the side or stop you seeing your float down the margin and a few fish would be nice, not too much to ask is it?

Nathan you would like my fishery at the moment then, no trees, no reeds - just grass! Not enough fish for you though yet!
