eirefish as you have said for a 3 hour match just have 1 maybe 2 lines and fish them hard if you swop between several lines you will get battered. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

You hit the nail on the head when you said: "just going to enjoy it". If you approach every match like that, you will have a great time, get involved with the banter and be made up when you have a result from time to time.

Default First match

Enjoy it buddy.
Like someone said, stick to 1 maybe 2 lines.
Don't know the place but my attack in 3 hour evening comps is left and right in the margins.
Feed heavily on 1 line and half what you put in on the other.
Try to find the same depth on both lines as this will save time changing between rigs.
Fish positive and watch the time as it will fly over.
Let's know how you get on.
Best of British.

Default Result of first match

Well just back from my first match, 10 meant to fish eight turned up had to delay the start due to one mental thunder storm including huge hailstones. kept it simple fished 2 lines one infront at 6 m and one in the right margin started on banded pellet in front fed 2 pots pellet to start and a few bits of paste, fed the margin with paste slop and 2 pots pellet first hour at 6 m only 2 small carp went to margin 2 fish right away stayed in the margin ,feeding and trying 6 m from time to time on paste and pellet but not doing anything ,so stuck to the margin for the odd fish throughout the match all on paste .got drowned and nearly deafened by the thunder but had a great time and it went by so quick. finshed 4th with 11 lb 6 well pleased. 1st 35 lb
2nd 27lb 3rd 14lb so a bit of work to do yet but cant wait for the next one .

Cheers ....................Roy
