Default used bivvy

hi ive just been given a fox euro bivvy but it has quite bad mildew on it anyone no how to get rid of it can i put it in washing machine its useable but needs a real good clean

Have a look in the supermarkets for stain devils stuff they do a range of removers one will surely cover mildew. would have thought you might struggle to get a bivvy in the washer. Might be worth putting it up in the garden and giving it a good hose down first, it may also need proofing after using any sort of cleaner.
