Fished Blyton ponds near Gainsborough over the weekend, it's fishing it's head off caught around twenty carp to 14.5 lb Saturday. But went through a period of getting smashed on big fish around dinner time. So i tied on another hook and went back into the margin swim, again the float buried away and as i lifted the pole into the fish out came my line with a bowie knife attatched to the hook by its wooden handle , bloody hell my mate said no wonder you keep losing the fish the carp have started carrying knives, what a laugh!.

played a chair leg for twenty minutes in one match convinced it was that bonus bream that would win me the match. every time i pulled against it it kind of waggled in the flow so i took my time .at least everyone around me laughed!
