Default Khv

Where will it end and can it ever be beaten?

I am of the opinion that once KHV is in a water it is there for ever, the only way to get rid is to completely drain the lake, disinfect and cull ALL fish. This would cost an absolute fortune and unless every venue did it it would only be transferred again.

I think the only other way is to let it take its course and hope that carp become immune to it.

i think fishery owners should take more precautions an care of ther waters insted of been gready an rakin the money in ive only fished 1 venue this year with a decent net dip full credit to willowmarsh stunnig fishery with clean net dips i as many others in my club wont dip them in half of them cuz they are discusting do fishery owners test ther dip water aswell as the pool water? at astwood we was told not to dip them spred them out on the bank an put in 5 min before the start of the match cuz the ultra vilot rays kill bacteria? if thats the case then shudnt the pool be free from bacteria cuz it sees allot more sun than my nets lol fishery owners are at fault for not looking after ther waters and i think testing should be carried out on all these new baits that are floodng the market to see what the long term affects are on fish and waters also bait limmits iv seen blokes pileing killos of of bait in in a session. dont think the flooding has helped either with contamination just a few of my points

Kettle black cat calling the etc etc - fisheries should take more precautions but you and many of your "responsible" angling mates cannot be arsed to use net dips tut tut.

Anyway back to the subject of KHV. I think the waters hit so far that have admitted an outbreak may think again about stocking levels and make things as mixed fisheries to alleviate total losses

when the net dips are coverd in green scum and full of stagnant rain water cant see the point like many others that i know i always wash my nets at home after a session any way an leave then to dry over the washing line for a day or two
