get one person to hold one section and some one else to hold the other section. then get a third person holding the middle making a circular motion with the pole. if you give the pole a good wash it proberbly wont stick again untill it needs washing again. other wise rub a candle round the end of the male joint.

The next time you get stuck there are a few tricks to get them apart

First is gentle tapping of the pole with the flat of your hand spinning the section as you do it. edit: note this is not twisting the sections in opposite direction this will lead to a broken section, but turning the whole stuck section so the tapping is carried out on all sides, you just need to break the suction

Second and the best is put the stuck sections behind your knees, with one hand on each section, you want your hands holding the pole and touching the side of your legs.

then using your legs pull the sections apart by slowly forcing your knees apart, you have a lot more strength in your legs and the sections remain straight, and in most cases don't break, but again dont twist the sections

I hope that makes sense its real hard to describe

To get the now broken section off your going to have to revert to some carefull cutting with a junior hacksaw unless you have enough left to try the above

if you have enough of the number three section to get a good hold off try the three person method,if not you will have to get a bung exactly the right size size and gently tap it out. If you lived nearer I would do it for you

your the first person ive heard of doing it other than me.

it can be a little difficult in very cold temperatures to break the pole down though. but on the other hand in hot weather its very easy.
