Will only went to one venue last year and that was all he needed. He did say other commitments permitting he was going to have another go this year. I see Des Shipp is on one and Ben leach is on a couple.

Well it did take me approx 5 minutes which I thought it was quicker to do than me go looking through the names myself! Aint it good when you have the right computer programmes to rip data out of other peoples websites

I'm sure they don't mind..... I'm just making things easy for people to read it rather than the jumbled up mess on the NFA's site! To be honest I don't know why they dont publish it in alphabetical order in the first place!

No, there is no way to know the total number of applicants.... they only list the 130 per match plus 20 reserves.

There are quite a few people in there that have as many as 13 tickets - not all of them veterns, I am a veteran and got my 6 gauranteed tickets + 1 for Party Poker membership offer, I applied for a further 4 and didnt get any of them.

My dad applied for the 11 that I did and he appears to have got 4 but there is another Roger Young who fishes down south who also applied last year so some of those might be his so he has to wait till the tickets turn up.

It would seem very very strange if someone applied for all 16 and got none at all..... mind you it doesnt seem fair that some people get 13!

As far as I am concerned I am happy to have my gauranteed 6 tickets and would be very happy if the NFA said that the maximum anyone can get it 6 - then this would mean everyone would be free to apply for all 16 but get a maximum of 6 tickets leaving more pegs for those other anglers.....

Last year there was a definate problem and it will happen exactly the same again this year, because they are allowing people to apply for all 16 people are ending up with tickets that they don't really want and when push comes to shove they don't turn up on the day leaving spare pegs - these pegs could definately have been filled if local anglers had got them... and then you end up with the odd blank peg in some of the matches giving some people big advantages. I honestly don't know what the solution is but I would like the introduction of the following -

1. You get a max of 6 tickets whom ever you are.
2. You enter your postcode when entering and get preference on your 6 closest venues
3. Anglers who don't turn up on the day are blacklisted unless they phone the match organiser before the draw to let them know they are not coming.

I agree with ideas 1 and 3 Simon. Although with number 2 my favourite and frequent venues often are nowhere near me.

I have emailed Tom at the NFA and asked for the full draw of each venue to be published to quash the rumours flying around.... here is his response so fingers crossed -

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the email.

Yes you are accurate the reserve list is longer than the 20 published and is in the order that it is drawn. I understand your point that it may help if more reserves were shown and I am raising this with the web developer to see if it is at all possible.

Many Thanks

Tom
