The Go Fishing event today
Its a 200 mile plus round trip for me, I got there early to beat the rush arrived about 9.30.
Parking was great although £8, and you get free use of the shuttle
To be honest on entry I was a little disapointed it wasnt half as big as I was expecting, and only two thirds of the hall was being used.
I visited every stool twice and purchased a few odds and ends what I bought I beleive I got good deals on and probably saved myself around 25%
Some of the sideshows were quite good and worth the wait, I got to speak to the likes of Dean Macey and Milo, and all in all that side of it was very good.
on the tackle side of things all the new good kit wasnt available to buy which annoyed me somewhat as I was armed to the teeth with coin and wanted to buy myself a couple of Normarks, sadly I failed, and most of the tackle that was for sale was really geered up for the carp guys.
The pole ally's were superb giving the angler lots of oppertunity to try out all the poles there was plenty of room to throw them about and some really helpfull guys.
I never found one stool selling preston hooks or quality winders and never found any decent pole floats, I wanted to buy a large selection of each to replenish my stocks, there really did seem to be a lack of products in the match department.
some of my purchases
A milo pro wheel kit
some magnetic hook box's
Milo take apart landing net pole and small silver fish net
8 top milo pole roost that fits to the box
and a few odds and sods
A bus load of pellets from Kent bait supplies.
All in all I would say 6 out of 10 I wouldnt go out of my way to go to another unless it was on my doorstep, as taking the Mrs and my son it was £100 down the swanny before we even got to buy anything
