Default Going back to coarse/match fishing

I have been carp fishing for the last 8 years and have finally had enough and decided to go back to coarse/match fishing. I used to fish matches when I was younger and general coarse fishing with a few mates on local venues. Has anyone else given up carping to come back to coarse fishing? I'm really looking forward to pole fishing again and fishing for roach on the river, etc! Just gotta buy all the gear first! Ouch!
